This past week we have managed to get out and about so much more, thanks to the vast improvement in the weather. So I've decided to do a photo post of our outdoor fun. We are so lucky to have some great outdoor spaces right on our doorstep.
These photo's were taken at Lake Meadows where I took the monkeys last Saturday. They played in the playground. Then the three of us had a walk around the lake. Of course the monkeys asked for ice creams! A Dad with his small son gave them some bread to feed the ducks, as I'd forgotten to take some along with us.
On Sunday we went for a walk and stopped at Chelmsford Rugby club. To watch the players and let the monkeys run about. Once again, the weather was fab and I really didn't want to go off to work later that afternoon. Daddy visited another park in the afternoon with both monkeys.
With big monkey back at school Monday, I took little monkey to feed the ducks (again)! We sat on the green afterwards and he spotted buses going past, whilst eating his crisps. A happy little chappy indeed.
Yesterday after work Daddy and I took little monkey over to Maldon. The sun had been so warm, so it was lovely to wander around. We popped into the Barge Tearooms again, this time on the Hydrogen for drinks and cake! The sails were being treated on the quay. Little monkey played with Daddy on the galleon and we all enjoyed chips from one of the cafe kiosks.
It's been so fab to get the washing dried on the line this week. The grass had it's first cut, we've walked the school run more and I know I have felt so much better for seeing the sun and getting outdoors. Long may this warmer and drier spell last!
