Hubby Saves The Day!

Last Friday was spent the other side of London with good friends, but that meant a journey home with the monkeys during 'rush hour'. The journey there had taken 1.5hrs in the morning but getting on for double that in the evening! I was shattered, the monkeys hungry and we just wanted to get through the traffic and home!
I'd asked hubby to get some tea ready for the monkeys but hadn't mentioned food for us, so was pleasantly surprised and delighted he had it all under control when we walked through the door. 
Here is what he made the two of us, a recipe from one of the ingredients in our August Degustabox.
Spanish Smoked Paprika Chicken
Using the Scwartz flavour shot from the photo above he made a delicious meal, that neither of us had eaten before. It saved me the effort of coming up with a meal idea and preparing it after a stressful drive home. To say I was grateful is an understatement. Happy cooking everyone!
You'll need
1 Spanish Smoked Paprika Chicken Scwartz Flavour Shot
1 Onion, finely chopped
75g of diced chorizo (optional)
450g diced boneless, skinless chicken breast
1 diced yellow pepper
400g tin of chopped tomatoes
2 tbs tomato ketchup
Method
Stir the flavour shot and spoon into a large frying pan over a medium heat. Fry the onion and chorizo for 5 minutes until softened. 
Add the chicken and fry for a further 3-4 minutes. Add in the pepper, tomatoes and ketchup. Stir, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove the lid, stir and simmer uncovered for another 5-10 minutes until the sauce has thickened and the chicken is cooked. 
Serve. Dead simple and a tasty meal in no time at all.
We ate this with basmati white rice. We'll be making it again! Well hubby will, seeing as he did such a great job this time!
