I love a bargain and always have. I also love shopping for the monkeys as I've previously mentioned so when I spotted these gorgeous Hatley pumps for little monkey I could not resist getting them for him! They were only £7 in TKmaxx. Currently too big for him but come late spring/summer I know they will look great on.
Sunday saw us going to our local shopping outlet village and we promised the monkeys we would see if we could get them both new trainers. Little monkey was delighted when I picked these Spiderman ones up for him to try. They light up which he loves and were a steal at £12.99 a pair from Sports Direct. Easy for him to put on himself too.
We found big monkey a pair of Adidas trainers which seem to fit his feet best. He has narrow feet and they come up narrow, so he helped to chose a pair he liked and tried them on. Slighlty more expensive at £26.99, they look and fit great.
I've been looking in the sales for winter coats as you can get some great deals and wanted to try and get some to put away for next winter for each monkey. I try to avoid dark plain colours as I think if they are wearing brighter coloured coats they are easier to spot across the playground and out and about, when playing etc. We browsed Trespass and picked up great coats for both monkeys.
The 'Comic' design one for little monkey is so cool. I don't hink I'll have any issues picking him out of a crowd in it! A huge bargain at £22 instead of £74.
Being older we went for a more plain design for big monkey but his coat is nice and bright too and had about £20 off. Another Trespass steal at under £25.
Now at that point I thought we were done but little did I know when I did my food shop Monday morning that Asda would have a sale on their George clothing! I picked up a few bits for big monkey. He is currently starting to grow out of his current size so I got the next size up. The thin puffer jacket was actually only £4! The Star Wars hoodie about £4 also. He can't wait to wear that but it is two sizes bigger than his current size!
I got the same jacket again for little monkey (how could I not at only £4), also a Star Wars hoodie and then some tops. The turquoise one was only £1 and the twin pack of red and blue striped ones were £3! He gasped when he saw the Fireman Sam hoodie. Bless him.
Of course, the good thing about buying the larger sized clothes are that once big monkey has grown out of them, all being well they can be kept for little monkey! Double bargain bonus all round!
