As you may have guessed we love our family days out but don't you have to take so much with you! Now the monkeys are older it's not so bad.....babies need so much stuff don't they. The thing is though, I like to take a lot of stuff just in case! Snacks, a change of clothes for the monkeys. Drinks bottles, occassionally their Pyjama's, wipes for those mucky faces, a camera.....the list goes on!
I've found backpacks are the best thing to carry everything in. They mean your hands are free to hold little hands, dish out snacks, take photo's etc and of course they come in different shapes and sizes to suit whatever your needs are. There's no bag falling off your shoulder and I like that when we are altogether hubby can fish anything needed out of the rucksack on my back without me even having to remove it. Though to be honest, he is often the one that wears it! Bonus!
Of course on a day out Daysacks are ideal.
Large enough to fit an extra layer, lunch and a other bits and pieces without being too bulky and cumbersome. Ideal so you can take all you need without being laidened down, tired and irritated by excess baggage. The perfect size for us really, although sometimes something slightly bigger is needed!
This larger sized backpack would indeed hold everything the four of us need on a day out and more besides! Perfect for carrying a picnic blanket in, warm jumpers and so on. Great capacity too and made to last.
I really do think you can't beat a good backpack for family days out and we'll definitely be packing one for our family holiday later in the year as we plan lots of days out whilst there!
What do you like to use for carrying everything on family days out?
