There's nothing I like more than staying home with a glass of wine, some nibbles and sitting down with loved ones to watch a great movie from the comfort of my own sofa. I've always been a home bird and now a Mum, home is definitely where my heart is. Staying in in my book is the new going out! It's much cheaper and cosier too! Hey, you can even invite the old's around or a group of friends and make a night of watching golden oldies on DVD.
Sunrise Senior Living is a care home provider. They believe that every single one of their residents – and families – have individual needs for both their level of care and for the life they want to live. Movie nights are a regular event at one of their many care homes where Sunrise actively encourage residents’ families to attend. What a lovely idea and so simple too!
There's nothing I like better than to share a great film sat with my Mum, chatting about old times, putting the world to rights over a glass or too and why not give residents and their families the same opportuni ties too.
Now, I'm off to eat that popcorn, watch The Wizard of Oz and remember how lucky I am that I can do so whenever I wish! If you know someone close in a care home why not take their favourite DVD, some sweets and go watch a movie with them. I'm sure it would mean the world to them.
I was sent the above for the purpose of this post.
