Its as easy as 1,2,3.....almost! Just download the Deliveroo App, chose the restaurant you wish to place an order with, chose off the menu, type in your delivery address and pay. The rest is down to the restaurant!
I used the main Deliveroo website via my laptop (as for me the App kept saying 'out of delivery area'). I asked for my chosen order of Dough Balls, Deliveroo exclusive Etna Pizza (with gluten free base) and Polenta chips to be delivered at 21.30.
Fans of the beloved PizzaExpress Etna recipe can now order the sizzling hot favourite once more this Autumn – exclusively via Deliveroo.
The succulently spicy Romana recipe, which sees pools of ‘nduja sausage paired with sweet and spicy roquito chilli peppers, is exclusively available for customers to order either by logging on to their Deliveroo mobile app, the main website or the central PizzaExpress website and sourcing their nearest PizzaExpress restaurant.
With confirmation of my order emailed to me, hubby went off to work with the expectation of us sharing pizza on his return at 21.30.
Just as he walked in the door I had a text, the pizza would be 10-15 minutes late (but at least we knew it was on it's way).
Almost 10 minutes later, there was a knock at the door and my complete order was handed to me. Mmm, it smelt good.
Just like eating in, it met our usual PizzaExpress expectations. The dough balls were warm and the garlic butter very runny but they were supper tasty.
The Etna (gluten free) pizza was hot! As in spicy! Now, I'm a wimp when it comes to spice and managed just once slice but despite the spice you could taste how good it was! Hubby finished the lot!
We were happy with our menu choices and apart from a slight glitch with the App, overall we were pleased with the delivery service too. It was delivered 10 minutes late but this really wasn't an issue and I was pleased they had warned us via text. We'll be ordering from the comfort of our own home and sofa again!
