The Gtech Multi Plus Car Kit - Review!

Having two boys and a husband can mean lots of mess! For a while now we've used a hand held vacuum for all those crumbs and little accidents which kids tend to make on a daily basis. Despite being happy with the one we've used (and been very grateful to own) I was keen to see what all the fuss was about with the Gtech Multi.
I'd often seen the TV adverts and was eager to see for myself if it really was as good as the advert states.

Delighted to be given the opportunity to review both the Gtech Multi plus Car Kit we put it all to the test!

Gtech "design and create innovative cordless products, that make life a little bit easier".

With floor to ceiling cleaning in a powerful high performance vacuum, the Gtech comes with on board attachments and a new power button on top of the handle. "With a professional-grade 22V Lithium-ion battery. One 4-hour charge delivers up to 20 minutes of cordless vacuum cleaning; a 1-hour charge will deliver a burst of additional run-time". To reach those low or high to reach places there's a 36cm Extension tube. It weighs 1.6kgs.

It comes with free delivery, a two year guarantee and a 30 day money back guarantee if you aren't completely satisfied! The Gtech Multi is £149.00 and currently the Car Kit is £24.95 when purchased together. (Car Kit is usually £49.95)

Using the Gtech Multi
What can I say, I now look forward to vacuum cleaning. This hand-held device is simply SUPERB. We rarely use our upright vacuum now!

It's VERY easy to use and the suction is incredible.

Back in the summer we had a holiday in Cornwall, and after a day at one of Cornwall’s amazing beaches, we arrived back at our caravan with, what felt like half of the beach in the car.

No problem, we used the Gtech Multi with Car Kit which I'd taken with us. It was absolutely superb. We have a Kia Sportage and
on a single charge we were left with a practically spotless car.

Of course the compartment for collecting dirt was full. This is very easy to empty, simply wiggle it and pull it out. That's it!

The filter is also very easy to clean. Again, simply pull it out, wash with running water, let it dry thoroughly and you’re good to go.

The attachments are very easy to fit to the vacuum cleaner. The crevice tool even lives in the bottom of the cleaner! Unlike others (and we’ve used a few in the past), the suction is fantastic.

There are four LED lights on top of the handle that notifies you as to how much charge is left. The power in suction remains until the charge in the battery goes completely.

You can see the LED lights, and two white lights in this short video. Plus hear how the Gtech sounds. I think it's relatively quiet!

The two bright white lights that project a beam of light each to allow you to see into the tiny, hard to reach areas. This is one of my favourite features! We've quite a dark home and these lights mean I can see the dirt that needs cleaning right into the darkest of corners!

Each attachment has a green collar on the end of it which is the “trigger” to attach or detach from the main unit. They are indeed, very useful around the house, stairs and in the car. I can even reach the cobwebs!

Were I to find something negative, well, that would be difficult. My only concern is because of the weight, mainly from the rechargeable battery, I think that anyone with wrist or elbow issues may find it (and probably any cordless handheld device) a touch awkward at times to hold.

I struggled to get the tools off initially but hubby managed with ease so clearly I was doing something wrong. I think it was just stiff being new.

Car Kit
Padded case
Soft dusting brush
Small upholstery tool
Flexible crevice tool

(Handy to keep in the boot of the car for use with the Gtech Multi).

Using the Gtech Multi& Car Kit
As you can see even our 8 year old can use the car kit with ease. As with the main unit and attachments the car kit is colour coded in green to connect the parts. It's suction is just the same as with the main kit and like we mentioned before it really does do a great job.
This really is an easy to use, powerful bit of kit which both hubby and myself are delighted with. Even the monkeys can use it with ease.

Conclusion
A great device for a busy household which is effortless to use. We all love it and hubby raves about it to anyone who'll listen! I'd recommend this handheld cleaner (plus Car Kit) to anyone looking to buy one.

We give it 4.5 stars out of 5.

We wer sent this Gtech Multi + Car Kit for the purpose of this review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
