Retro Top Trumps Come to 2017!

Ever since the monkeys discovered Top Trumps around 4-5yrs ago they have enjoyed playing the various packs we've had....Minions, London Landmarks, Cars and so on but they've not seen the retro packs until now!

Top Trumps has gone vintage with a retro collection. Do you remember them from years gone by? My twin brother used to have them...way back when! Around since the 1970's (just like me), Top Trumps have gone back to their roots and recreated 6 classics - Crazy Cars, Exotic Sports Cars, Fantasy, Horror x 2 and Today's Strikers.

With both monkeys being heavily interested (and even obsessed) with cars and football of course we couldn't not play the Exotic Sports Cars and Today's Strikers Top Trumps could we!
Both boys looks quite confused when I surprised them with their new retro packs. I explained they are based on those from when I was young. They were keen to commence play (although big monkey always cheats playing Top Trumps).
Daddy joined in the came (which the monkeys often like to play him just before bedtime) and they had a blast (just as they always do). The retro packs are housed in new cassette style cases (again something the monkeys have never seen) and of course look different to the current themed packs. They took me (and hubby) right back to our childhood!
The Exotic Sports Cars 1992 Top Trumps game exhibits cars such as the TVR V85, JAGUAR XJ220 and the Lamborghini Diablo to name a few. The Today's Strikers game showcases players from the 90's, such as Ian Wright, Ally McCoist and Peter Beardsley. Hubby took great delight in telling the monkeys all about them!
The games are winners in this household that's for sure. These Top Trump packs are £4.99 each and available from all good toy and book stores.

Did you play Top Trumps as a child? My brother is going to love playing these with the monkeys next time he is visiting.

We were sent two packs of Top Trumps for the purpose of this post.
