Down on the Farm

Today little monkey and I went on his long awaited Preschool trip to the farm. We went on the coach that had been booked. We could hardly not really what with him being so keen on buses and the like! He was so excited. I had a request at 6.30 this morning from him asking me if he could get dressed. Bless him!
The farm is only about 20 minutes from us and one we've been to before but there was added excitement going with teachers and friends from school instead of the family.
We did the usual feeding of the animals and there was a tractor ride booked for all the kids, but little monkey decided he didn't want to go on it. It's a bumpy track and he isn't great with loud noise since having grommets fitted so I'm sure that had something to do with his decision. We had fun instead playing on the toy tractors.
New the farm since we last went is an indoor seating area with stage, where today they put on a magic show for the children. Little monkey seemed to like like it until he decided he wanted an ice cream!
The weather was so hot there today, lovely but there was barely any shade. We did try to find any spots we could. Lunch with friends, then play in two of their numerous play areas. Monkey loved the large inflatable digger slide.
We stayed for about fours hours which in today's heat was enough to be honest. By the time it was time to get the coach back I know I was feeling sun frazzled despite wearing factor 50 and little monkey was getting tired too. He even fell asleep on the way back.
A great day out which I know little monkey won't forget in a hurry.
