We Saw Santa...........

Sadly there are no more bookings being taken for this year, but if you ever fancy a great day out (and a visit to Santa next Christmas) we can highly recommend Ashlyns Farm Park in Essex.
It was recommended to us by friends, so a group of us Mummy's arranged to take our children there last Saturday.
We specifically went to see Santa but also had lunch there first and then the children played outside in the farm park. The weather was very kind to us!
For £10 per child, they along with any accompanying adults get a tractor and trailer ride to the bottom of the farm where they are greeted by reindeer in a field, next to a fab log cabin where Santa awaits by a roaring fire. Each group is invited in to visit him, receive a gift and then they can wander back outside to eat mince pies, drink mulled wine or have a hot chocolate. The tractor then returns to the main farm park area. Santa was even seen waving us all off!
It was very well done, very magical and definitely somewhere we will take Daddy next time we go! Both monkeys got matching wooden 'make your own' door plaques and were happy to have their photo taken with Santa.
Afterwards we took a look at some of the other animals at the farm including pigs wallowing in lots of mud, rabbits and reptiles. The outdoor play equipment was very popular and set out really well.
Luckily the sun was shinning and all the kiddies with us had a great time. You cannot see Santa himself without pre booking. He must be a popular visitor there, as like I said, bookings are now full for this year.
The cafe inside the farm shop sells a good array of food and has a good childrens menu too. The shop sells lots of organic and healthy fresh produce and other goodies. I popped back in and picked up a few bits. There is also a small indoor soft play on site, which we didn't use this time.
A fantastic Santa experince at a great place to visit any time of the year. We'll be booking to see the man in red this time next year.
