Sodors Legend of the Lost Treasure

Last Sunday saw us mixing with the celebs at London's Odeon Leicester Square where we attended the premier of Thomas & Friends latest film Sodors Legend of the Lost Treasure. Sophie Ellis-Bexter and Stacey Soloman were there with their children to watch the movie just like us.
Celebrating 70 wonderful years of everyone’s favourite little blue engine, the new movie is Thomas & Friends biggest theatrical release to date showing in over 400 cinemas across the country this summer.

The 60-minute movie Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure sees Thomas and his friends embark on a spectacular new adventure scouring the Island of Sodor for lost treasure. Introducing a host of new characters voiced by a stellar line up of the UK’s biggest stars including Oscar winning actor Eddie Redmayne, Sir John Hurt, Jamie Campbell Bower and Olivia Coleman, the new movie is set to be Thomas’s most exciting adventure yet.
The monkeys were so excited to travel to London on the tube and join all the other specially invited guests on the blue carpet before the movie began.
The show stopping premiere event opened with a special performance from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on the Odeon balcony as well as a 9 foot Thomas replica engine greeting guests as they walked the blue carpet. We especially loved Dusty and Rusty who were entertaining the children in the queue! The monkeys were very impressed with their juggling!
A legendary triumph of friendship and adventure, this must-see feature length film is now in cinemas in the UK until 1st August.

Once inside the Odeon we were treated to Pirate themed food with hidden treasures, there was face painting and Thomas toys to play with and we got to have our photo taken. Each seat in the auditorium had bottles of water and popcorn on. We were really treated well.
All four of us loved the film and both monkeys sat through it with interest. Little monkey is a huge Thomas fan so I know we'll be watching again when the movie comes out on DVD.
We are thrilled to have been invited along and loved the sea of Thomas balloons in the foyer on leaving. Both monkeys grabbed one each to take home.

The DVD will be released on 28th September 2015. We hope you enjoy the film as much as we did!
