Star Wars Itty Bittys!

You may remember we have already featured some Itty Bittys on the blog. Now we have some more to share with you. These ones are awesome too and from the Star Wars Itty Bittys range!

Hot on the heels of the successful 2015 launch of the biggest collectibles phenomenon around, Itty Bittys, Hallmark has now launched a new collection - exclusive to Gold Crown stores.

From February 2016 the Star Wars phenomenon has been available in the Gold Crown galaxy.

Hallmark has teamed up with Disney and Lucas Film to launch the UK’s first Star Wars Itty Bittys collection that includes some of the most popular characters from the iconic film franchise.

Two brand new Itty Bittys have been added to the collection, the lead characters from the new film The Force Awakens, Kylo Ren and Rey. The two new characters will be accompanied by Yoda, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, CP30, R2D2 and Storm Troopers. Gold Crown customers will be able to take advantage of the 2 for £10 offer on the collection.

We have Rey, R2D2, kylo Ren, C3PO, Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper. How cool are they? The monkeys have shared them out now and even taken them to bed some nights.
Big monkey decided he wanted to pose for photo's which each Star Wars Itty Bittys we were sent, hence the photo's below! He was off school poorly at the time so helping me with the photo's took his mind off it.
Each character carefully depicts the real 'Star Wars character well I believe. The Itty Bittys are the perfect size for plush collectibles and each one is filled with tiny beans to help weigh them down so they stand.
They each come with a RRP of £6.
Perfect for any film fans whatever their age, we think they'll be a great hit and collectors item.
They certainly helped to put a smile back on this monkeys face when he was off school and now reside in their bedrooms where they play swapsies with their new friends!
You can find more Itty Bittys to collect from Hallmark on Twitter and on Facebook.

My Sunday Photo #12

Guinea Pigs

Project 366 #12

We've made it to the Easter Holidays! This makes me happy as not only do I get to spend quality time with the monkeys but hubby is taking some time off and I'm working less for the two weeks. Yes! We all need a break. Only now are we getting over whatever we have all had for what seems like ages!
Here's this weeks photo's.
Day 80. Sunday saw us walking 5k on a charity bunny run which raised £400 for a local kids charity. Then the monkeys babysat the guinea pigs whilst their hutch was being cleaned.
Day 81. With the boys at school hubby and I were off work, both ill. This plant and new magazine subscription brightened my day.
Day 82. A sneak peak at little monkeys Easter 'bonnet'.
Day 83. Our Magnolia in bloom, meaning Spring really is here.
Day 84. A friend and I walked 10 miles to the pictured village and back, in preparation for our Moon Walk in May!
Day 85. Wowsers, this Tiramisu was so delicious. Far too much there for me though. We were at Pizza Express for a review!
Day 86. Hubby and big monkey came home from football with my 'Easter gift'. I asked hubby not to buy me any chocolate but didn't expect all these beautiful flowers!

I have lots of lovely plans for Easter so fingers crossed the weather is kind. I have a feeling it won't be. Happy Easter to you all. Enjoy the family time and the chocolate!

Good Friday, Evening Family Meal Out at Pizza Express & Giveaway!

We love eating out as a family and try to do so a few times a month or so but often work, lack of funds or other commitments get it in way. So we were delighted to be invited along to our local Pizza Express this evening for a family meal on them! The monkeys love Italian food, in fact little monkey would chose pasta over any other dish everyday if he could.
Until today I never realised you could dine in, order a takeaway or cook at home with Pizza Express. How cool is that!
Our meal was booked for 17.30 and when we arrived it was just starting to get busy downstairs. We opted to eat upstairs and were seated at a table plenty big enough for 6-8 diners with a bench sofa style seat. Of course this pleased the monkeys. They were given Piccolo Activity Packs to help keep them entertained, which each contained an Easter themed colouring activity, activity sheet and stickers.
After choosing and getting our drinks we ordered off the Spring/Summer menu. Both monkeys ate off the kids (Piccolo) menu (3 courses for £6.45). They both had the baked dough balls with side salad for their starter. The side salad consisted of cherry tomatoes, red peppers and cucumber. Big monkey had Bolognese and little monkey had the Napoletana (pasta with creamy tomato sauce and fresh basil) for their main course. Their drinks were Cawston Press Kids Blend. An all natural juice drink with no added sugar.
Hubby chose to eat the Bruschetta Originale 'PizzaExpress' for starter and then opted for the new Risotto Fresco (Peppered Salmon fillet with creamy white wine risotto) which can be eaten as a starter or as a larger portion for the main.
I chose the Dough Balls Formaggi (Dough Balls rolled and baked with Gran Milano cheese) for my starter and had the same main as hubby. It was so tasty. Hubby had the new Superboost side salad with his Risotto and I chose the Polenta Chips which I've never tried before. They too were delicious and of course the monkeys wanted to try them too!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our food which was presented well and tasted super delicious. Both the monkeys cleared both their starters and their mains. The waiting staff were friendly and checked on us regularly to ensure everything was OK.

Of course we had to try the deserts and we all opted for something. The monkeys had the Chocolate Gelato with Bambinoccino, hubby had the Chocolate Glory Gelato and I chose the decidedly tempting Tiramisu. It was huge and I could only manage half! So scrumptious.
Once again the monkeys cleared their plates. We left happy and full. Maybe the two large glasses of white wine spritzer I had helped to fill me up! Whilst eating the upstairs remained reasonably quiet with a few families coming and going but downstairs was packed with diners. By the time we left it was full down there.
We had a lovely evening and are so pleased to have been chosen to be a part of the #PizzaExpressFamily along with a number of other bloggers and their families.

We're also taking part in a fab twitter party on March 31st at 2pm until 3.30pm, which we'd love you to join in with too. Then finally we are going to a kids Pizza Express party next month.
We look forward to seeing some of you at the twitter party soon. Just be sure to follow the #PizzaExpressFamily hash tag!

Tonight's meal and drinks were free of charge for the purpose of this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Clothes Shopping Wish List!

As you may already know I love shopping! Shoes, clothes, accessories....all sorts really! Now that spring is here I'm looking to update my wardrobe and get some new spring/summer wear. I've been taking a look at what's out there and having a play on pinterest!

Follow Jo Laybourn's board Love the Sales on Pinterest.

I've found a great site that allows you to shop the sales across the internet, so thinking of something you want, you can use the site to search the sales and see if you can get the item for less! I love it! I've seen some trousers I really want from Boden which are a lot cheaper than the original price, which I may now have to get! Tops, jackets, dresses, trousers, shoes and boots. I love them all. I like a variety or different designs and styles as I have a number of different ways to dress! There's the casual and comfy Mum style. Office job style, work with children style and the going out with family or friends style! Its good to have a big selection.
Boden Trousers
I do love a bargain but hate to riffle through the sales rails and get the dreg end of the sale items. I'm too old and imaptient to do that now. Give me ease of shopping and the comfort of my own home to shop any day. I could go on and on and my pinterest board may well grow and grow. Since losing all the weight last year I'm so pleased my old shopping self has re-emerged. I feel much more like my old self again.

Do you have a mood board or use pinterest for ideas and wish lists?
