Ice Age and Pizza Express Shananigans!

Today we set off for that there London Town on a Pizza Express and Ice Age family fun day! Invited by the lovely people at Pizza Express we were asked to dine at their Dean Street restaurant to sample their Ice Aged themed Piccolo lunch menu and then go and see Ice Age Collision Course at Twentieth Century Fox, Soho Square!
Being big fans of both Pizza and the Ice Age movies we were excited to set off!
The monkeys love travelling to London by train so we set off early in order not to be rushed but ended up being very early for our lunchtime reservation. Luckily there was plenty to do to kill some time and we arrived at the restaurant just a few minutes before the other bloggers and their families who were joining us.
Seated to the back of the restaurant we had an area to ourselves where the monkeys and the other children there enjoyed colouring in and using their Ice Age themed activity packs.
Both monkeys ate off the Piccolo menu which is just £6.95 for 3 courses. Baked Dough Balls and side salad, pizza or pasta, dessert and Bambinoccino. One had a pizza and the other the bolognese.
Not one to miss out I chose the garlic dough balls too and opted for the Leggera Padana - Goat's cheese, caramelised onion, spinach, red onion, tomato and garlic oil Pizza. The meal was a little more rushed than I would have liked but that was purely down to the time we had before the film started around the corner at Twentieth Century Fox. It was, as always very tasty. I've never had the Leggera Padana pizza before but can highly recommend it, very tasty indeed! The monkeys loved their meals too.
A quick dash around the corner saw us come face to face with Sid and Scrat, ready to greet us with a photo opportunity before being invited into Twentieth Century Fox Head Office for our special screening of the latest Ice Age film Collision Course! There was even a bar! Drinks and popcorn a plenty we settled down to watch the film in a lovely and comfortable cinema. "Scrat's epic pursuit of the elusive acorn catapults him into the universe where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age World".
The latest in a series of Ice Age films. The monkeys and I loved it! Very funny (mostly for the adults) it was as good as (if not better) than the other Ice Age films. We had a great time! Definitely a must see.
All done it was time to leave with great memories of great hospitality from the Pizza Express Dean Street team and of course the team at Twentieth Century Fox, Soho Square.

Thanks to Ruth at Rock 'n' Roller Baby and Katy at Modern Mummy for organising it for us to go!

We dined completely free thanks to Pizza Express and Viewed the film courtsey of Twentieth Century Fox. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
