Imaginext Power Rangers Morphin’ Megazord - Review

The monkeys have recently taken a bigger interest in the Power Rangers and have been acting out the moves (much to my annoyance when they are meant to be getting ready for school!). This heightened interest has come at just the right time, as luck would have it we were offered an Imaginext Power Rangers Morphin’ Megazord to review! Sent with a Power rangers figure pack both of them were so excited when a huge box arrived for them.
Key features include:

The Power Rangers Playset has 4 activation Power Pads -

  1. Turn the Power Pad on his left shoulder for awesome transformation: the chest and shoulder panels open and a cannon pops up!
  2. Turn another Power Pad on the cannon to fire projectiles which are included in the set.
  3. Turn the 3rd Power Pad above his left knee to raise projectile launcher and fire!
  4. Turn the 4th Power Pad above right knee to activate chomping action.
We were keen to get the set unboxed and in use but this took a few minutes due to the usual (over the top) packing ties etc. Soon rectified the playset is ready to use!
It looks cool doesn't it! I let the monkeys discover the things the Megazord can do for themselves and they soon discovered the play possibilities it has!
Bright, colourful and hard wearing like all Fisher Price Imaginext playsets, I was worried the monkeys rough play may break it. However I have been proved wrong! It's withstood being knocked over and more!
The figure pack we were set has enhanced their play and imagination whilst discovering what fun this Imaginext Power Rangers Morphin’ Megazord brings.
Here's the Projectiles! Watch out! There are discs that can be fired at the enemy.
The claw like hands open and both arms move. The Megazords eyes light up when the top left power pad is turned and his chest opens!
Both monkeys are loving the playset which still gets played with most days. Its nice you can unpack it at the start and get straight to play. No construction needed and batteries are already supplied for his flashing eyes!
Two Power Ranger figures are included along with the discs and projectiles. With a RRP of £62.99 I think this toy will be a huge hit this Christmas!
Anything we don't like?

Not as yet. It's robust, keeps little monkey (in particular) entertained for sometime and encourages imagination.

Size H71 x W40.5 xD15cm.
Weight 1360g.
Batteries required: 3 x button cell (included)
For ages 3 years and over.

Thanks Fisher Price, it's awesome!

We were sent this playset for the purpose of this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Audacity Bags - Review & Giveaway!

Have you ever been away overnight and found the toiletries you wanted to take didn't all fit into your cosmetic/beauty bag? I've done this so many times! Maybe I take too much but a girl needs her products doesn't she!

Having recently started a new job which requires me to stay away from home a night at a time, a few times a month I was in need of a bag that would with stand my requirements!

This is where Audacity Bags comes in!
A brand new company which launched in July 2016 bringing the owners experience of 20 plus years as a buyer of cosmetic bags to form her own company. Julia wanted to provide something of good quality, that is colourful and useful.
I've kindly been given the Blue Polka Dot Two Handle Hanging Cosmetic Toiletry Bag to review!
Described as blue I would actually say it's turquoise! A lovely vibrant colour. The bag easily holds my overnight toiletries which consist of deodorant, body spray, shampoo, shower gel, face cream, 2 hair care products, toothbrush and toothpaste and mascara!

The bag has two handles and upon opening it can be hung or laid out in front of you. There is a hook to let the bag hang down from wherever you choose to hang it. There are 5 separate pockets to ensure your toiletries do not fall out. (4 internal pockets, with one of them being a detachable purse to pop in your handbag or even use as a clutch. Three clear PVC pockets to see your items without having to open up the zips and one almost hidden pocket on the outside for your really personal items).
I truly feel this is the best beauty bag to date that I have come across! Its hard wearing, big enough for my needs, well made and pleasing to look at! Not at all cheap and 'plastic' like some bags you can get.
Made from PVC, wipe clean and measuring 28 x 19 x 8cm it retails for £21. A really reasonable price considering it's quality and practicality.

Anything I don't like? Not that I've found so far!

There are other bags from the collection ranging from a cosmetic purse at £6.50 to a Two Handle Handbag Style Cosmetic Toiletry Bag at £20. All seven designs are available in two colours, the blue polka dot and red polka dot.

Now you too can own an Audacity bag as I've been given the opportunity to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a Small Two Handle Weekend Red Polka Dot Toiletries Cosmetic Bag with hanging hook worth £18.

The monkeys love watching new DVD's and they also like finding ants and bugs! They are going to LOVE this Bug Safari and new DVD MINUSCULE: VALLEY OF THE LOST ANTS! I'm not so sure I'll love the little creatures in my house but I'm sure the DVD will be great fun! We're off on a adventure in the garden later after school!
In a peaceful little clearing in the heart of the woods, an abandoned picnic has become the site of a fearsome frenzy. The tiniest critters of the undergrowth are going antennae to antennae to win the spoils, until the plucky black ant, Mandible, discovers the ultimate treasure – a box of sugar! Little does he know of the little ladybug already hiding inside.

Suddenly, the bold young ladybug finds herself caught in the middle of the battle between two tribes of ants, when the box of sugar sparks the attention of the formidable red ants! Together, Mandible and his ladybug friend must protect the anthill from the red ant warriors in this tale of teamwork, friendship and fun!

Winning Tickets to the MADS for a Second Time!

How cool to have won a ticket to the Mad Blog Awards for a second time! The last time was back in 2013 just 6 months after I'd started blogging and then again last week! How things have changed! I'm no longer a newbie but rather an oldie, much smaller than I was and even more in awe of fellow bloggers and friends I've made during the last 3 and a half years of blogging!

Held at the Royal Garden Hotel, High Street Kensington like the last time 3 years ago, I knew the food would be just as good as last time and it was!

Like before attendees could have their hair and make up done for free at the venue. However I did not. My friend did my hair and I did my own make up before travelling by train to London. I chose my outfit just the afternoon before, so was frantically ordering underwear, shoes and accessories the night before online!

With a drinks reception starting at 18.30, everyone started to arrive, mingle and chat to friends and acquaint themselves with the seating plan! I was delighted to see I was seated with some bloggers I consider friends.

For entertainment we were handed a bank note which gave us reign to play Black Jack or Roulette. I decided not to have a go as have absolutely no idea whatsoever on the rules, how to play or the object of the game! There was to be a prize at the end for the overall winner!

The three course meal was super tasty - Bread rolls, followed by Montgomery cheese & apple fritters, glazed butternut squash, spinach & hazelnut cream to start. Braised Jacobs ladder of English beef, celeriac chips, onion soubise, peas & beans, oaked wine jus for the main and Hot limoncello soufflé, minted creme fraiche for desert. All followed with Tea, coffee and Petit fours. A truly scrumptious meal, washed down with red or white wine for those that wanted it.

The awards took place at the end of the meal. Comedien Helen Leaderer hosted them and was such fun. She had the room in raptures more than once! It was great to see so many new and 'old' bloggers receiving their awards on stage.

You can see a full list of winners here! I was thrilled for Emma from Brummy Mummy of 2 who won two awards including Blog of the Year. She was so shocked yet thrilled. Such a funny lady.

I left the awards evening feeling all warm and fuzzy (not from alcohol) and delighted to have been able to share such a fab night with so many amazing bloggers!

Thanks again Tots 100 and Mad Blog Awards.

Rieker Boots Review - Brantano!

The weather is slowly changing (down South) which only means one thing! The winter clobber must come out soon! Winter is not by any means my favourite month but I do love a great winter coat, a warm knitted jumper or two and of course winter boots!

You know me, I need no excuse for new footwear. Recently I was asked by Brantano if I'd like to review their ankle boots and of course how could I refuse!
I chose a pair of Rieker Diamond Ankle Boots.
With a retail price of £62 at Brantano they are described as Grey but I would say they are more of a stone colour. I ordered a size 5 which fit me perfectly. They are super comfy and very easy to get on and off!
Inside the zip up ankle boots there is super soft fur. I love them! The 'diamond' detail on the strap, the sole (which is super cool), everything is rather fabulous.
With the weather having been so warm of late (but on the turn) I've not yet had chance to wear them as much as I'd like yet but they will get lots of wear! I'm almost willing the sun away so that I can wear my jeans with my boots and a good old woolly jumper! I'm super chuffed with these boots and the delivery from Brantano.
Brantano offers next day delivery for £3.99, free super saver delivery when spending over £35 and free returns on all UK orders.

I was sent these boots from Brantano for the purpose of this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
