A Scooby-Doo Spooky Halloween Sleepover!

Happy Halloween!
Each year we do just a little bit more to mark Halloween! Today the monkeys are going Trick or Treating for the first time ever. We've bought masks and orange buckets for them to collect their treats in. Daddy is joining them with some friends of ours.

We've been to the Pumpkin Patch to chose our own pumpkins and carved them. Usually we just pop to the supermarket but I thought it would be fun to see what the fuss was about at the Pumpkin Patch.
The monkeys have also enjoyed a Halloween #ScoobyDooSleepover thanks to Warner Bros!
Warner Bros are delighted to share the Halloween love with the fabulous Scooby-Doo. The Lego Scooby-Doo Haunted Hollywood Original Movie DVD is available in stores this week. If you've not seen it do watch, it's great!

To help the monkeys enjoy their Scooby-Doo Sleepover they also got a fab Scooby-Doo plush toy from Character Options which little monkey already loves! His thing is toy dogs at the minute so Scooby-Doo is more than welcome here!
Big monkey has taken great delight in crawling around the house surprising Daddy and his little brother in his great Rubies Scooby-Doo all in one jumpsuit with character headpiece....he did look awesome and insisted on keeping it on in bed! He has even decided to wear it Trick or Treating!
Little monkey has been tucking into the chocolate treats and the Panini Comics Official Scooby-Doo magazine, packed full of monster fun this Halloween....it's right up his street!

Thanks so much Warner Bro for helping to make the monkeys Halloween such a fun and memorable one. Maybe next year we'll even stretch to attending a Halloween fancy dress party!

WWE Crash Cage Playset & WWE Figure Assortment - Review!

Half term is almost over here and the monkeys have had a really busy time! I think they've enjoyed no school for the week and they've certainly enjoyed testing toys amongst the other things we've done! This time they've been playing with the WWE Crash Cage Playset and WWE Figure assortment from Mattel.
The Crash Cage Playset is aimed at children aged 6+ with a RRP of £34.99 and is available from Smyths Toy Store and Toys R Us.
We were sent Xavier Woods, Apollo Crews and Brook Lesnar, three of the WWE Figures assortment characters that have a RRP of £11.99 each. They too are suitable from age 6+ and available from the stores above.
When the toys arrived from Mattel the monkeys had a friend over who had been with us on a sleepover. All three boys were really excited to see they'd been sent these toys and they got stuck in straight away.
Assembly of the Crash Cage Playset was very easy, they did it between them (ages 5.5, 8.5 and 9 years). Deciding to play with a WWE figure each they quickly discovered that the playset crane swivels 360 degrees. The figures can battle both inside and outside of the ring and each can be launched from the ladders which collapse too. If you strike the cage it comes crashing down. Lots of fun was had by the boys! Each character has authentic details and are very robust. They can be poised to spar and create mayhem.....Now that sounds familiar!
This Playset and the WWE figures have been a huge hit here. It's been played with daily and has been taken over by big monkey who has decided to keep it in his room. Luckily he lets little monkey play too.

To date, we've not yet found anything we dislike about it. I would add here that I don't actually allow the monkeys to watch WWE cage fighting on TV at all but of course they seem to know all about it! Likely to be talked about in the school playground! I can see this being a popular toy this Chistmas.

We were kindly sent these toys for review from Mattel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

We're going on an adventure

Celebrating the Hasbro Launch with Muck Boot at Kew Garden's!

What two things do I love in life? Footwear and the great outdoors with the family! So an invite from The Original Muck Boot Company to celebrate their new Hasbro collaboration launch at Kew Gardens was right up my street!
The new kids Hale Boots with Hasbro are great for fans of My Little Pony and Transformers! Really cute and cool. The monkeys of course loved the Transformer Hale Boots (which I found rather fab too!).
Invited to the launch breakfast at Cambridge Cottage, Kew Green, we set off early to get there in time. Lovely food was laid out, there was a children's entertainer, welling wanging in the garden and of course a great display of all the new Hasbro Boots and other Muck Boots available.
Part of the launch celebrations included a ride on the Kew Explorer and time in The Royal Botanical Kew Garden's for the remainder of the day.
So at 11.30 the explorer land train picked up all of the launch guests and off we went on our adventure! The Hasbro Hale Muck Boots will be perfect for such a day out, especially this time of year when mucking around in leaves, climbing the 109 steps up to the Treetop Walk and generally having fun and games in the fabulous garden's.
We had a ball! So much walking and exploring around after the land train dropped us back off where we started. We even got a great Muck Boot goody bag with seeds in for the kids to plant, a discount code for our very own Muck Boots, sweets, crayons, bubbles, a mini colouring book and a Muck Boot shaped memory stick!
If you get the chance to visit Kew Garden's, you must do. It's vast, beautiful and fun. Of course the Hasbro Hale Muck Boots make it all the more colourful too! The monkeys have chosen their favourites aleady.
We'll be visiting next time with Daddy! He can carry the bags! Do go if you can! There's lots to see and do.

Sorry about all the photo's and huge thanks to The Original Muck Boot Company for a great day. The Hasbro Muck Boots are £55.

In collaboration with Muck Boot.
