Ion Pen - Sheaffer

When I was at school (a long time ago now) I loved nothing better than shopping for new stationery, school bags, shoe shoes and pens! Usually I would use a Biro but sometimes I would have a nice pen or an ink pen.
Then when I was at college and won 'Student of the Year' I was gifted a boxed Sheaffer pen. I've no idea if I still have it, but I remember being really pleased with it and have always associated the brand with smart pens and boxed pens!
The new Sheaffer Ion Pen has been launched as their new compact sized pen, which offers portability, bold colours and smooth writing.
The compact pen which launched in May measures just over three and a half inches making it ideal for writing, carrying in your pocket or bag and even on a keyring!

Sheaffer, the 104 year old brand has undergone a refresh, releasing a selection of innovative and bold new products including this range of bold colourful gel pens with bright packaging (the artwork is from Bristolian artist Ery Burns.

It come in six colours and has a retractable mechanism and refillable gel barrel. There are four gel ink colours available to use with the Ion pen. The gel ink in mine is black. It writes really smoothly.
To use the pen, just remove the black top (with ring attached) and retract the bottom to reveal the nib. It's easy to use, dead small but perfect for clipping onto a lanyard, sticking in your shirt chest pocket or carrying in your bag! How many times do you search in your bag for a pen, only to realise you don't actually have one? With a RRP of £12.99, the pen can be found in all good stationery shops.
